William Howard Williams, age 89, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away Saturday night, March 28, 2015. He was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Imogene Venters Williams. He is survived by his son, Alan (Chris) Williams of Franklin, TN, and his daughter, Jan (Rick) Geesey of Montgomery, AL; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He also is survived by a sister in Battle Creek, MI, Ruth Bryan.

William Howard Williams, age 89, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away Saturday night, March 28, 2015. He was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Imogene Venters Williams. He is survived by his son, Alan (Chris) Williams of Franklin, TN, and his daughter, Jan (Rick) Geesey of Montgomery, AL; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Born in 1925, Bill grew up in Belmont, Ohio. He graduated in 1949 from the University of Kentucky after serving in the army in World War II. After the war, Bill served once a month in the Army Reserve for many years earning the rank of Captain. He never lost his patriotic love for this great country.

He retired from MIC/GMAC after 42 years and transferred that energy to serving in many positions, including Exalted Ruler, in the Elk's Lodge, BPOE 72.

The family would like to express their deep felt gratitude for the loving care given to both their parents during the past 3 years by the staff at NHC Place in Cool Springs, TN.

The memorial service will be held later this summer in Pikeville, KY. The family requests that memorial gifts be designated to: Elk's Lodge, BPOE 72, 485 Oak Meadow Dr., Franklin, TN 37064.
